Four Point
Inspection

Required by most Underwriters when renewing or switching Insurance Companies. This inspection reviews the plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and the roof  to determine if they are in satisfactory condition and do not contain any prohibited materials such as polybutylene plumbing or Federal Pacific Electric panels.

Wind Mitigation
Inspection

An inspection that determines the wind resistive features of your home, and provides credits towards your insurance premium. There are 7 questions on the form, each of which may provide a credit. If you had a roof installed after March 1, 2002, you will likely benefit from a Wind Mitigation Inspection.

Roof Certification
Inspection

Sometimes required by an Underwriter, it provides an approximate remaining useful life of a roof. This inspection is typically done for an older roof where a Wind Mitigation Inspection would not be beneficial, or when a roof may have been installed without a permit.

 

Four Point Inspection Note – The presence of any prohibited materials does not preclude you from getting insurance, it only determines which Underwriters will accept you.
